Join author and designer Baylor Chapman for this hands-on workshop and go home with your very own tabletop garden. For those who are curious about blooming plants, gorgeous greens, and intriguing succulents and want to explore the many possibilities of using them in potted arrangements, this class is for you. 

Demonstrations on crafting a successful planting arrangement will include how to combine succulents with blooming plants, color theory for container gardens, and all the assembly details. After a demonstration, we’ll dive into the hands-on session. Opportunities for one-on-one guidance provided for every participant as we make our plant arrangements together. Baylor will also cover care tips for your long lasting arrangement. This class is for plant aficionados and newbies alike.

All materials are provided: including a signed copy of Baylor's 2021 book Tabletop Gardens, a variety of amazing plants, pottery, soil, and toppings. We’ll also have aprons and tools on-loan. Go home with something beautiful--made by you.

In accordance with COVID protocols, work stations will be socially distanced and we request that everyone wear masks. Members of the same household can share work stations (to request this please add a note when you purchase.) Classes are non-refundable, please be sure you can attend before you sign up!

About the instructor:

Baylor Chapman is the author of Decorating with Plants and The Plant Recipe Book and founder of Lila B. Design, a San Francisco–based plant design studio. She has been a guest on PBS’s Growing a Greener World, and her work has appeared in Good Housekeeping and Better Homes & Gardens. When not in her studio, she’s scouring plant nurseries and leading workshops to help plant lovers of all skill levels feel confident that they can make their spaces feel like home with just a little bit of green.
