Pamela Kogen’s abstract paintings and drawings are an abstract response to her environment. Spending several months a year living on a sailboat, immersed in a continually shifting tidal landscape, deeply inspires and influences her work. Her time “afloat” reminds her over and over again of the constancy of change, and the endless circuitous endeavor of capturing fleeting moments and emotions. Her intention is to lift you up and open a door into another way of seeing.

Pamela Kogen is one of the featured artists in the recently published book ‘Artists of the Bay Area- Volume Il’ curated and published by Jen Tough Gallery. Pamela received her BFA from Parsons School of Design (NYC), lives in San Francisco and works out of a studio in the historic ICB building in Sausalito.
