Join fabulous San Francisco floral designer Natalie Bowen for a morning (or afternoon) of wreath making in the gardens at Ground!
You will learn the art of making a seasonal wreath using using the sumptuous color palette of nature’s beautiful fruits, berries, and greens. The workshop will begin with a demonstration highlighting the elements of structure, placement and composition needed to create a dynamic and lively design. You will then create your own work of art with one-on-one guidance and instruction from Natalie.
Each person will receive all the materials to create a beautiful winter wreath including seasonal greens and trimmings. Images shown are represent the style of wreath that will be taught. Actual workshop flowers and arrangements will vary based on seasonal availability.
Natalie Bowen organized her first floral arranging party at age six and comes from a family with a deep floral tradition. Her grandmother was a florist in San Francisco in the 1930s (running flower shops in the lobbies of the The Fairmont and Mark Hopkins hotels.) Natalie brings her first-hand knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm for her craft to all her classes. Exploring flowers and what they bring to our lives never felt (or looked + smelled) so good!
