Join Alicia Dawn Rypma for a morning of guided movement in the gardens at Ground! Qigong is traditionally practiced outside as a way of connecting with the elements of air, water, and earth. In this class you will learn a series of easy movements focused on the “four corners” (hips and shoulders). This practice is great for anyone who needs help with their balance and will strengthen the body, quiet the mind and balance the emotions while you connect with the plants and nature around you. The practice of Qigong increases energy and a sense of well being--a perfect prescription for our times. Students will also receive a 10% coupon for same-day shopping in the store.
In accordance with COVID protocols, participants will be socially distanced and we request that everyone wear masks. In case of rain, class will be cancelled and full refunds will be given.
About the instructor: Alicia Dawn Rypma began her training in the art of movement from a very early age as a member of the Canadian National Gymnastics team. This evolved into a practice around the sensitivities and refinements of movement through her studies of Gyrotonics and Qigong. Alicia is one of only 250 certified Master Gyrotonic Trainers in the world and was given permission to teach Qigong in 2011.
